Saturday night was really heavy rain, but Sunday was fine all during the day with nice sunny spells. Sunday evening, however, was a different matter. I slept through it all, but Lorraine says it was the loudest thunder she had ever heard. Monday morning started off with rain, but cleared to be a nice day later on, but Monday night was the same again - more heavy rain during the late evening. Tuesday, and Wednesday was sunny with quite a bit of cloud, but today is unbroken sunshine again and the temperature on the patio is 42 degrees!! As you can imagine, wew still have had no heating on, but we have put the quilt on the bed.

The rains have started
The rains have finally arrived. We have not had any decent rain since May so the last two nights have been welcome - especially for the olives!
The last two nights have rained with the first night being thunder and lightning. Not as good as later in the year, but not bad. Today has been overcast all day and I have put a thin jumper on for the first time since April as I was showing a couple some land for sale in Afrata. Apparently the weather is due to get nice again by the middle of the week.
Temperature in the house (with no heating on yet) is 19 degrees celsius at 8.45 pm. Feet are a bit chilled - must be acclimatising!!!
